(San Antonio) — The Seguin Matadors will be in San Antonio to take on the MacArthur Brahmas for a rare Saturday night match-up in District 12-5A. The game kicks at 7:05 tomorrow night at Heroes Stadium. The Mats come into the game at 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in district play. MacArthur is looking for their first district win. The Brahmas are 1-3 overall on the year.

Seguin Head Coach Craig Dailey says MacArthur will likely try to get the ground game going.

“Offensively they’re a run first team. They’re a spread offense team. So, defensively we’ll have to play assignment football. It’ll be old school. You have to have somebody for the dive. You gotta have somebody for the quarterback and the pitch. We gotta keep our eyes in the right spot because if you don’t have somebody for that then that’s usually when they have big plays. Defensively, they’re very multiple. They get in and out of different fronts and move people around so it’s gonna be another challenge for our offensive line. And they play a lot of man coverage behind them so we feel that if we can handle all the pressures, we have the skill kids that win man coverage.”

We’ll have the Mats and Brahmas for you tomorrow night. We’ll also have the TLU Bulldogs. Texas Lutheran hosts the Sul Ross State Lobos at Homecoming with a 6 O’clock kick on KWED. Our Bulldog pre-game starts at 5:40. We’ll join our Matador pre-game coverage with the Matador Report and more with coach Dailey at 6:45 and continue TLU coverage online at TLUBulldogs.com.
